Gildan's FLA accreditation: what does it mean?

Sep 12 2007 - 3:31pm

In June 2007, Gildan's code of conduct compliance program was accredited by the Fair Labor Association (FLA), in which Gildan is a Participating Company.

Accreditation does not mean that there are no labour rights problems in a company's supply chain or that its factories are certified as "sweat-free". It does mean that the company has put in place a code compliance program that meets the FLA's requirements. For more information, visit: www.fairlabor.org [1]
