MSN resources on freedom of association in Mexico for workers, brands, and manufacturers (July/September 2016)

MSN published two educational resources on freedom of association and the right to bargain collectively in Mexico.

The first is a primer for workers on their associational and collective bargaining rights under Mexico’s Federal Labour Law, international conventions of the ILO and UN, and brand and multi-stakeholder codes of conduct. The primer includes a link to a supplementary resource for trainings with workers (in Spanish only) listing brand codes of conduct and how to access them.

The second is a resource tool for brands and their Mexican suppliers on employer obligations to ensure respect for the right of workers to freedom of association and to bargain collectively.

Both educational resources are available in Spanish and English.
